We send our condolences to all who mourn the passing of the queen – and reflect that there are many differences between queen Elizabeth II and King Charles lll
Like many of us, he too has given voice to the need for social change – in our own small way we seek to improve life for the community in Shefford and wait to see if the change of sovereign brings positive change to the country.
We certainly live in “interesting times” with a global groundswell that calls for both more international integration and at the same time for more nationalism – perhaps a workable balance will develop.
Our Community Festival seeks to facilitate those who would like to reach out to the community and engage on a social level for the benefit of all – on that basis we will continue as planned and invite event organisers to do the same. For myself, I was born in the year of the queen’s coronation, and look forward with the hope that our efforts as a community today may yet leave a better world for our children tomorrow.
