living life logoWe are delighted to have been working alongside LivingLife magazine since the start of the Festival and now to recognise their great support as sponsors. LivingLife is very much a local magazine crafted from the stories of the town – it is delivered monthly to 16000+ homes and businesses in Shefford, Campton, Chicksands, Arlsey, Henlow Village, Henlow Camp, Upper and lower Stondon, Stotfold and Fairfield Park.  They feature informative and interesting news articles, and also serve to connect local businesses, trades and services to our thriving local community.

We are delighted that the STMA (Shefford Town Memorial Association) is organising a number of special events for the Festival this year in addition to  playing host venue to it’s normal range of weekly social activities.  They have really gone to town with re-furbishing the hall so do go and experience their new facilities.

The Garage Sale Trail sponsored by Country Properties has been a signature event in the Community Festival program since the beginning and was one of the few events that carried on through the restrictions of last year. This year it is again highly active with over forty registrations already confirmed – well done all you car booters – I certainly look forward to checking out the stalls!

View from the topFriday, Saturday and Sunday 17, 18 and 19 Sept – the Bedford Camera Club is holding its annual ‘Points of View’ competition in Shefford over our first Festival weekend. BCC members are given six themes to creatively interpret and photos will be publicly displayed afterwards.

They have been in touch to ask about festival events over the weekend and will be looking for “local colour” of various sorts.  I guess they will be identifiable by their camera equipment and obviously, this is a great chance for us to show off  Shefford with the EAT Feast food fayre, Garage Sale Trail, St Michaels Cafe, Scarecrow Festival,  Family Fun Day at the Railway Steamer and other activities
