Opening ceremony 2023
This year we are delighted that we have managed to obtain the personal support of our Mayor Ken Pollard our MP Alistair Strathern , Elsa from Frozen at Be Our Guest events, plus Pepper Pig and the Prince and Princess of Shefford to assist us in ribbon cutting and generally declaring the festival open.
As last year we will gather on the north pavement outside Rose’s – all are welcome to join us and help the event go the way any good launch should do. From there it is just a few steps to the Community Hall AGM at 7.30 where the committee will welcome anyone with an interest in use of the hall.
If you are free to help we will also appreciate the services of a banner holder for the background.

Tuesday 17th at 6.30 pm Shefford Majorettes are holding a free taster session at the STMA. They take girls from ages 5-18, to train at the STMA hall on Tuesday evenings 6.30-8.15 term time. With a mix of handmade loveliness, plus crystals, readers and therapists, this is going to be the perfect way to bridge the gap between work and the weekend. We will be open from 6-9pm, with the bar open from 7pm, so why not bring some friends and make a social evening of it.

Who doesn’t like street food? – well we are lucky to have the regular EatFeast team once again in the High Street on Friday 20th September from 5.00 – 9.00pm Choose your cuisine and meet your friends – this is a community alfresco street dining experience, with street food vendors offering a variety of food, music and a bar.
